I like your idea of close up shot. And you really did a good job on catching amazing moment, like the second image. I wish the 8th image you could get the whole person. I got the same problem for my field hockey images.
I really like the mix of close up shots and wide shots you used. It provides a little more variety that just having all of one or the other. I also like how in the second image you were able to stop that moment where you can see how the player is tensing up going into the kick.
